PICK UP TIME Suggested 8:00 am to avoid big crowds at least in the first part of the morning (it is flexible and you can decide when).

COLOSSEUM This means that we start from one of the most ancient sites in Rome. You can just visit it from the outside or from the inside. If inside, your driver-guide, after explanations and parking the vehicle, will walk you all the way to the ticket entrance, helping you skip the line and will show you where you’ll meet him again after your 45-minute visit.

CIRCUS MAXIMUS Stop on the side of it and admire what is left with the view of the Palatine Hill.

THE HISTORICAL DRIVING-BY On the way to the next stop, your drive is going to be intense and breath-taking. You’ll go by the so-called “Road of the Temples” and over to the current heart of the city with the view of the Palatine Hill and Piazza Venezia with two very important monuments/sites (the so-called “Wedding Cake – or Monument dedicated to the first king of Italy and the view of the sadly famous balcony of Mussolini)

VIEW OF THE ROMAN FORUM Stop on a favored spot for the amazing view of where there were the commercial, political, economic, religious and social activities during the ancient Roman Civilization.

PANTHEON Explore the most amazing building in Rome, still intact and filled with history.

TREVI FOUNTAIN Go and toss your coin and wish to come back to our city.

SPANISH STEPS Best driving-by but we can stop right on top of them to admire the view of the dense yet elegant shopping area of the city.

TIME FOR A BREAK You’ll decide what to eat and which kind of lunch to go for. We will give you several options (something quick to go, something intermediate like a pizza or a salad, or something more authentic off-the-beaten-path where only locals eat).

2 HOUR VATICAN VISIT After your little break, your driver will escort you all the way in front of the Vatican Museums from where you’ll start the brief but intense visit of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and – if open – Saint Peter’s Basilica. You can opt for a private guide, let us know, and we will provide it at an extra cost.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Note that the order of the sites might change due to crowds. In certain occasions the Colosseum will be done starting from 02.00 pm as the last site of the day, to avoid crazy crowds in the AM. In this event, we will visit the Vatican in the AM. No matter when there might be some wait at the entrance of the Colosseum due to the metal detector checkpoint even if you have already pre-bought your tickets.

RomePrivateExcursions offers a very flexible cancellation policy, in case of arrival problems due to COVID, we are willing to offer a 100% refund (Colosseum and Vatican tickets are on the other hand never refundable).

Your English Speaking driver would pick you up at your accommodation in Rome, at the airport or train station on arrival, or where you prefer within the city of Rome

No deposit required!

We accept payments in Traveler Cheques in Euro or USD. If you want to pay in USD we will calculate the accurate total, by using the stock exchange conversion rate Euro/USD of the day before the tour/transfer increased by 7 cents. We also accept credit card payments (Visa and MasterCard – No American Express) at the time of the booking, or at the end of each tour/transfer. Please note that if payments are operated with credit cards the total cost of the tour will be increased by 10 %.

We do not accept payments via credit card for amounts below 350 euros. If the payment is made with a credit card at the end of the tour/transfer you will be required to sign an one time payment authorization form, provided by us. If payment is made with a wire transfer the total cost will be increased by 10 %. If you decide to pay in cash you will be asked to pay your driver at the beginning or at the end of the tour/transfer. The Total will be indicated in your final contract.

Tickets to the Vatican and the Colosseum can be pre-purchased through us and the day of the tour your driver will hand them to you for a better and more efficient service.

Please note that the Colosseum tickets and the Vatican tickets are not refundable, beyond the terms stated, not even in case of the cancellation of your trip.

This is a private tour, so you will not be sharing it with anybody else!
You’ll be escorted by your English speaking driver who will explain all different points of interest. But please note that they are not guides. They cannot enter the sites with you by law.

• Colosseum skip the line tickets 18 euro per person and Vatican skip the line tickets 28 euro each adult and 20 euro for under 18 y.o. children.

• If you want a private guide for the 2 hours at the Vatican please add up 150 euro total

• You will be entering religious places so knees and shoulders must be covered

• Walking: moderate a part from 2 hours in the Vatican
